Things Are Looking Up

Hi everyone, Master Vrill here. Like the title of tonight's entry says: "Things are looking up!" I got some pretty great reviews at the science fair! One comment even said: "splendid, imaginative work of utilitarian progress!". Now that's good. Master P thinks that this bodes well for future funding, although he cautioned me against putting, as he says, all my potions in one basket. Maybe it's time to move on from the owlbear plan. I think that the Arcanobears are a promising direction, although Master P pointed out that the Knights of Armek, and not some country bumpkin adventurers who go around killing kobolds indiscriminantly waving around unholy maces and the like, are the true threat here. And that Sleep magic will be no good against them.

It's true. I'm hoping we can get this weather station up and running. I've got a pretty cool plan involving lightning too. Unfortuntately, we sort of need a, mm, 'test subject', as they say.

Anyway, the collies are looking good, Sam and Abby are happy, and I'm about to do a little 'adventuring' of my own. Almost 5th level! I'll show those idiots the right way to do it. Bon soir.

Science Fair

It's almost time for the Potion Guild Science Fair, and I'm pretty excited.

I think I've got a real shot with the Growlbear project. Master Parsifal thinks that this is a good chance to show the rest of the Guild that this project is important and deserves funding. I think I can read between the lines though: Master P is saying that unless there's a lot of excitement, we're going to get shut down.

Well fuck that. Grito, shit happens, excusez-moi francais. I'm still pissed about the blatant destruction of all that Guild property by those psychopathic adventurers. The Council of Masters won't review my petition for immediate Guild action! Those guys are a real threat and need to be stopped. But Sleep spells stopped them once and they can work again. The ArcanoBear is genius if I say so myself. But we need to act now before those guys make it to 5th level. And that zombie is immune to sleep!

Fortunately I've made some new friends. With Master P's help, I had an introduction to "Lord" Antonio Greyhelm of the Jug, one of the high priests of the Temple of the Jug, of Issac of the Jug. I've got a pretty good feeling about that and he offered some tentative help, if I can help him. Scratch your back, you'll scratch mine, huh? Okay, Gregory Vrill's a team player, I'll step up to bat.

Anyway, I should get back to my poster. There's a lot of money... no, there's the fate of the free world at stake. By the way, it's kind of cool how you can use different fonts (like this) and things to express different feelings. I think that spellbooks could use formatting like that- hypertext I think it's called? I'll suggest this idea as a project for Apprentic Steve who's a little lost right now due to lack of good bear parts.

See you at the Science Fair!

I Hate Those Guys

Well that sure sucked. Those goddamn adventurers. And way to go killing some Potion Guild guards. Well I guess if the owlbears couldn't handle those four losers, they wouldn't have been very good against the Knights of Armek. That also sucks.

Anyway. I've got plan B so fuck you guys.

Hello World

Here we go.

Hi everyone. Master Gregory Vrill from the Grito Potion Guild here. I guess I'll try out one of these blog things. I've got a lot going on so maybe this will help keep everything sorted out. And maybe this will help attract some customers for my various enterprises.

Anyway, I've been working pretty hard on "Project: Grito". The owlbear thing seems to be doing alright. Sales of potions of Healing and Owlbear Protection are up over 200%! The griffon essence thing is problematic because of the griffons though. I had Apprentice Bergen working on it but the griffon carried him away. Then Apprentice Harriet refused to do it. Apprentices, sigh.

Not too much longer until we move to "Phase II"!

Thanks for reading,
